A better route to the big screen
Find the movie on your phone or computer, note the title and year, then open the available viewing service on your television. This avoids typing a long film name with a remote. A remake or second season can share a similar name, so keep the year or episode number with you.
Chromecast and casting controls
Use the Cast button inside a supported service when it is available. Google distinguishes this from casting a browser tab in its casting guide. Casting the catalog tab only displays the catalog; it does not turn a poster into a video stream.
If your television does not appear, check that the devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and that the chosen service supports the receiver. Subtitle and audio selections are still features of that service.
Fire TV, Android TV and console browsers
Use the provider's supported TV app for playback where possible. This site does not supply a Fire TV package or a console-native app. Television browsers vary, so choose and save titles on a phone if remote navigation is awkward. A saved list gives you a short set of names to find on the big screen.
