What the numbers tell you
Resolution describes the image dimensions. Compression, source quality, display settings and connection stability also affect what you see. A well-delivered HD picture may look more consistent than a higher-resolution stream that repeatedly drops quality or stops to buffer.
Check the complete setup
Your service plan, title edition, device, display and connection all matter. High dynamic range and surround sound are additional capabilities, not automatic consequences of a 4K label. On a laptop connected to a television, the cable and display connection can matter too.
If playback keeps stopping
Start with the destination player's automatic quality setting if it has one. Pause other heavy transfers, try a steadier connection and test another title in the same player.
